Advanced settings

The Advanced section of Banner Settings holds two controls, the consent wall and Custom CSS. The consent wall is gated by plan. Custom CSS is not released yet.

Open the Advanced section

  1. Open Banner Settings in the dashboard at my.optsens.com.
  2. Open the Advanced section at the bottom of the editor.

The same Advanced section, with the same controls, also appears in the banner step of the guided onboarding.

The consent wall blocks interaction with the page until the visitor gives consent. It works with any layout. When it is on, the page behind the banner is covered and the visitor cannot dismiss the banner with the Escape key until they choose.

  1. In the Advanced section, turn on Consent wall.
  2. Click Save Changes.

Consent wall is gated by plan. If it shows a plan badge, it is not included on your current plan.

warning

A consent wall must not force consent. Keep Reject all as visible and as easy to click as Accept all, which GDPR requires. The consent wall only blocks the page until the visitor makes a choice, either way.

Custom CSS

Coming soon

Custom CSS is not available yet. The control in the Advanced section is marked Coming soon in the banner editor, and there is no field to fill in until the feature ships.

The banner runs inside a Shadow DOM and page styles do not reach it, which is why styling beyond the visual controls needs a dedicated field. The Custom CSS page describes how the feature will work when it ships. Until then, use the theme, color, and font controls in the banner editor.

  • Geo rules for per-region consent mode and auto cookie blocking
  • Custom CSS for how banner styling will work (coming soon)
  • Auto-blocking for how scripts are blocked before consent
